Tehran, Iran, Mar. 01 – Textile workers from the central Iranian city of Isfahan blockaded a major highway from the city to the Iranian capital Tehran on Monday and Tuesday in protest to not being paid their salaries.

The protestors, all employees of the Rahim-Zadeh Weaving Company, complained that they had neither received their salaries for the past three month nor their annual bonus, the state-run news agency ILNA reported.

They were also concerned about the fact that the factory had stopped receiving supplies of raw materials which they believe was a sign that it would soon close down and lay off its 300 employees.
