Tehran, Iran, Aug. 16 – Three men were hanged in
south-east Iran,
according to a semi-official daily.
The men were identified as Abdol-Malik Faghirdadi, Shirdel Shahiki-Rad, and Hamid-Reza Thaber,
the hard-line daily Jomhouri Islami
reported on Tuesday.
The report said that the hangings took place in public in the city of Zabol and in a prison in the
city of Zahedan.
It did not say where each of the men had been hanged.
The men were convicted of drug smuggling and “trouble-making”.
Authorities routinely refer to anti-government activists as trouble-makers.
