Tehran, Iran,
Dec. 05 – A group of pharmaceutical students protested outside Iran’s Majlis,
or parliament, against a recently-ratified bill that was harmful to work.
The pharmaceutical students, all from the Medical University of Mazandaran,
northern Iran, chanted slogans against the decision by Majlis to ratify the
bill which takes away pharmacists rights in making executive decisions.
They complained that the new law would compromise their future jobs, while
insisting that the decision would ultimately lead to a decrease of drug
stores in poorer areas, significantly effecting the general population.
