“Stop the executions” – UN rights experts alarmed at the sharp increase in hangings in Iran
OHCHR – GENEVA (22 January 2014) – The United Nations Special Rapporteurs on the situation of human rights in Iran, Ahmed Shaheed, and on summary executions, Christof Heyns, today called on the Government of Iran to urgently halt the abrupt surge in hangings in the country since the start of 2014.
25 NGOs Urge UN to Pass Iran Human Rights Resolution
(November 18, 2013) – As the United Nations General Assembly Third Committee prepares to vote on the resolution on the promotion and protection of human rights in Iran on November 19, 25 human rights organizations—including Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, the Committee to Protect Journalists, and the International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran—have joined together to urge member states to vote in favor of the resolution.
UN Should Investigate Fatal Attack on Camp Ashraf
(September 2, 2013) The United Nations should immediately investigate the recent attack on Camp Ashraf, resulting in the killing of dozens of residents, and take all necessary steps to protect residents of the camp against any further violence, the International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran said today.
